New Change

[THIS CONTENT IS OLD DATA AND IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE HIGH COUNCIL. PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION.]

Since my last post, a lot has happened in my personal life; a lot of good change that is. I plan to write about most of it in various posts here, all of those experiences and changes have given me some new insight on my outlook on life.

I've been moving this past month to a new neighborhood, which alone has been a really cool change in many aspects. With the move has come a change of routine, change of location, change of members in the house (primarily furry friends), and a change of habits.

Starting this blog on it's own has been a change that's awesome to see. It's very simple and basic right now, but I've been doing a lot of work on things behind the scene that others can't see (yet). I'm now the proud owner of my own domain name, which is pretty wild. So once I get things rolling and get more done my end of things over here, I'll have an updated format for these posts and the blog will be hosted on my own corner of the internet. How cool!

I also wrapped up my darkroom class that I've been taking for the past two months. My time in that class feels like one of the biggest learning experiences I've had as a photographer so far. It makes me sad that it's over, it definitely wasn't long enough and was really grabbing my attention the most right as I was getting to the end of it. It's given me the desire to push forward in my craft as a photographer and also helped me realize the value in my work. I'm very excited to share some of the photographs from my time in the class, it's somewhat of a showcase of how my work has changed and will potentially take a new direction in terms of what I'll be wanting to photograph. More's to come on that once I can get my scans back from that time.

Yesterday, I came back from a trip to Chicago with my good friend Stan. We were only out of a town for a few days, but the trip was packed every day with things to do and I had so much fun. Chicago is a place I've been wanting to return to for a long time now, and getting to finally go back was something I really needed. Lots of firsts on that trip, lots of random human experiences. Some were definitely a little scarier than others (a story for a blog post of its own), but I'm glad that I got to experience everything that we did. There's some photographs from this trip that I'm really stoked to get back from the lab. I tried my best to go all out on shooting some street photography of the city while we were there. There certainly wasn't enough time to shoot all that I wanted to, I need to go back sometime soon in the future.

This is just a brief look over everything that's been going on since I last wrote, expect more detailed posts and recounts of all these things in the near future. I'm excited to be back home and have some new creative energy fueling my ambitions right now. Thanks as always for anyone tuning in and reading checking out my little nook of the internet.
